Storage tent: The materials of our models
There is often very little difference in the frame of a storage tent. Our range of storage tents is made of powder-coated steel. Thanks to the powder coating, it is very well protected against corrosion. The material thickness and the profile diameter are decisive for the stability. There are often big differences here. As a rule, the thicker the material, the more stable the tent.
The difference in tarpaulin material.
A distinction is made here between two types of tarpaulin: regular PVC tarpaulin and flame-retardant PVC tarpaulin. This means that as soon as the source of the fire is removed, the fire goes out. The manufacturer guarantees the UV-resistant, 500 g/m² thick and durable tarpaulin material down to -20 °C. This means that a storage tent can be used all year round. The material itself is grid fibre-reinforced, similar to a truck tarpaulin.
The tubular steel construction
The tubular steel construction is equipped with strong 38 mm rods and 43 mm connectors. With a material thickness of 1.3 mm (poles) and 1.5 mm (connectors), the poles are equipped with a simple snap-in mechanism. No tools are required for assembly and disassembly. An exception to this is the Giant model, which is equipped with strong 50 mm powder-coated steel tubes and is bolted to the connecting elements.
The Giant
The Giant is available from a size of 5x6 metres. The integrated floor frame ensures a firm stand and the additional reinforced roof struts make the storage tent even more stable. The Giant storage tents (from 5x6 metres) are supplied with a floor frame. The floor frame increases stability. We also have an optional floor frame in our range for our other modular storage tents. With a Floor frame you create additional fixing options for ground hooks or screws on the disc feet. The side walls can also be fixed here.

What tools are needed to erect a storage tent?
Our tents are generally erected without tools. Our Modular storage tents are equipped with a click system - press studs - so that they can be simply plugged in without much effort. Only our Giant storage tents are screwed together. However, the appropriate tools are included in the delivery.
How do you make a storage tent storm-proof?
To make your storage tent storm-proof, it is essential to offer the wind as little contact surface as possible (keep the sides closed), and you should also secure your storage tent with the help of a storm kit and weights. If you have the option of sinking tubular earth hooks into the ground, the Ground frame is a very good choice. The high-quality ratchet straps are simply attached directly to the poles and hooked into the galvanised steel pegs. If the ground does not permit this type of fastening, you can secure your storage tent with Weights or stackable Steel weights weights. These securing devices increase safety enormously and the storage tent remains in place even in windy conditions.
What size should the storage tent be?
Of course, the available space is decisive. We offer storage tents from 3x2 metres (e.g. for motorbikes, bicycles, etc.) to 4x8 metre storage tents up to 6x12 metres (e.g. for storing building materials, hay, shelter for grazing animals, etc.). We offer storage tents with a standard side height of 2 metres, but we also have a side height of a whopping 2.60 metres in our range. Our largest storage tent, measuring 6 x 12 metres, has 72 square metres. 75 m² or more usually requires a permit for temporary use. In any case, you should check with the relevant authorities in advance.
